Willie Randall Ross

Willie Randall "Randy" Ross, age 62, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on February 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 29, 1963, in Selma, Alabama, he was a son of the late Beverly Jean Fincher Ford and Preston Ross.

Randy was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bethabara Baptist Church. He loved his church and his church family.

He found great joy in fishing, spending time at the beach, and being outdoors. Above all, he cherished his family, who stood faithfully beside him through the good times and the bad.  His wife was always there for him.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Teena Ross; his children, Tonya Burrell (Eric), Randall Ross (Crystal), Tamara Atkins, and Nicole Lane (Ricki); his brothers, Bruce Ross (Vivian) (he loved his brother and Vivian with all his heart) and Brent Ross (Kelly); twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild; along with many nieces and nephews. He also shared a special bond with his "sister by Godly friendship," Dot Beaty, who stood by him, and his special niece, Rudy Cartee.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Melissa Scott.

Randy fought his cancer with strength and courage until he could fight no more. Even during his battle, he continued to bring joy to those around him, always ready to still try and make you laugh.

The family wants to thank his daughter, Tonya Burrell, that he loved with all his heart; his grandchildren, Chase Vickers and Ciarra Burrell, that he loved more than anything in this world; and his son-in-law, Eric Burrell. They all stepped up and helped take care of him when he needed them, just giving him a hug and holding his hand. All of you were there from day one until the end.  He loved Chase and Ciarra more than anything in this world. They were his life.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee with Rev. Phil Cook and Rev. Drew Hines officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
