William Michael "Mike" Dietz

William Michael "Mike" Dietz, 69, of Cowpens, SC, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born on August 29, 1956, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late William Dietz and Lillie Mae Johnson Dietz.

Mike was known for his simple joy of sitting at the end of the driveway, greeting passersby with a wave. This small gesture made a significant impact, creating a sense of community and friendship among those who knew him. His absence was deeply felt when he could no longer maintain this routine due to illness. Mike's love for steak and passion for cruises were among the things that brought so much joy to his life. He was a long-time resident of the Charles Lea Center, where he formed lasting friendships and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Springhill Memorial Gardens in Chesnee, SC, officiated by Rev. Tim Worthy.
