William "Bill" Earl Dietz

William "Bill" Earl Dietz, 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born in Allegany, MD on October 7, 1932 to the late Mae Effie Stallings and Earl David Dietz.

Mr. Dietz served in the United States Army and was a Sgt. Major in the Salvation Army of Spartanburg. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who loved to spend time with his family. Bill enjoyed gardening and also owned his own custom frame shop called Bill's Custom Framing.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Elizabeth Moore; son, William Michael Dietz; brother, Russell Eugene Dietz (Hazel); grandchildren, Angie Dobbins, Meghan Moore, James Satterfield, Adam Moore, and Samantha Moore; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Earl and Mae Dietz, he was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian Dietz; second wife, Nelda Dietz; brothers, Johnny Dietz and Rev. Paul Dietz; and stepson, Tim Satterfield.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee at 1:00PM with Capt. Howard Tate, Capt. Jeff Brooks, and Capt. Lea Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends at noon, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
