William "Wild Bill" Arthur Holder

William "Wild Bill" Arthur Holder, 73, of Chesnee, SC, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late William Herbet Holder and Martha Ann Brissie Merrill. Bill was a phenomenal, loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved singing to his kids. He was a big animal lover. Bill loved going fishing and raising chickens. He worked for 30 years as a welder and pipefitter.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn L. Holder; son, Michael E. Holder (Tara); three daughters, Paula Bordenkircher (Tom), Jennifer Holder (Jamie) and Angela Cash (Tony); three sisters, Linda Lawson (Stanley), Debbie Smith (Danny) and Cynthia Gant (Thomas); two brothers, Frankie Merrill and Keith Holder (Annette); eleven grandchildren, Amber, Christina, Thomas, Michael II, Kaila, Emily, Kelsey, Joshua, Hunter, Maddison and Dawson; fourteen great grandchildren; and his two fur babies, Calli and Tilly.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm in the Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Lancaster officiating.
