Wesley Satterfield, Jr

Wesley Satterfield, 40, of Spartanburg SC passed away April 24th, 2025. Wesley was born in Oconee County SC on April 30th, 1980, the son of Richard Satterfield and Peggy Scates.

Wesley left this earth being the true definition of a hero, a registered organ donor. Though his death is a great loss to those who knew him, his selfless decision to donate means the gift of life to countless others. He would urge anyone who is undecided about this mission to do the same.

Wesley is survived by his mom Peggy Scates, his sister Jennie McNeilly (Kevin) and nephew Hunter, all of Casar NC. He also leaves behind a grandmother and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his dad Richard Satterfield, his common law wife Cindy Vick, and his ever-faithful little dog, Buddy.

A memorial is planned for Sunday, April 27th at Eggers Funeral Home, Chesnee. Visitation will begin at 3 with memorial directly after at 4.

The family wishes to personally thank the medical staff at Spartanburg Medical Center ICU that cared for Wesley during the last week of his life. They would also like to give many thanks to Michael Sherman and his entire team with Sharing Hope SC for the empathy and care extended to the family during one of the hardest but most rewarding things ever faced on this earth. His attention and dedication during the organ donation process, and after, is truly appreciated.
