Virginia Buff Scruggs

Virginia Buff Scruggs, 100, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, South Carolina.
Born September 22, 1924 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, Virginia was the daughter of the late Curtis Sanford and Lottie Stanley Buff. Virginia graduated from Harris High School in 1942. She retired from Milliken after 35 years of service. She was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Ann Scruggs Miller of Seneca, SC; granddaughter, Anna Miller Robinson (Kevin) of Tamassee, SC; great grandsons, Abram Miller Robinson and Everett James Robinson of Tamassee, SC; sisters, Irene Scott of Gaffney, SC and Jackie Connor of Rutherfordton, NC; brothers, CD Buff (Ophelia) of Spartanburg, SC and Jim Buff (Cindy) of Rutherfordton, NC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Lawrence Scruggs; son-in-law, Michael A. Miller; sisters, Johnnie Buff and Mary Buff; and brothers, Dewey Buff, Elbert Buff, Bill Buff, Frank Buff, Ken Buff, and Donald Buff.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 1:30pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee, South Carolina with the Reverends John Lee and John Cox presiding. Burial will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens in Chesnee, South Carolina.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30pm until 1:30pm, one hour prior to the service.
