Vickie J. Seay

Vickie J. Seay, widow of John Walter Seay, passed away on June 14, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional.

Born on August 24, 1957, in Spindale, NC, to the late Richard Beason, and Juanita Honeycutt. Vickie's life was a testament to the love and care she devoted to those around her. Her warm presence and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Vickie's passion for nurturing extended beyond her family and into her professional life. She earned her BSN in Nursing from USC Spartanburg and began a fulfilling career at Spartanburg Regional. Her commitment to care led her to the Spartanburg Health Department, where she made a significant impact through outreach care, touching the lives of countless individuals in her community.

Her interests were a reflection of her loving and giving nature. Family was everything to Vickie; she took immense joy in spending time with her great-grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook, known especially for her delectable pound cake, a signature treat that was always a welcome sight in her kitchen, much like the famous pie on the window seal. Vickie's home was a haven of comfort and joy for all who entered.

Vickie was a devoted member of the Boiling Springs Church of God, where she found fellowship and shared her faith with others. Her dedication to her church community was symbolic of her overall desire to support and uplift those around her. Those who knew Vickie will remember her as a caring and loving individual whose desire to help others knew no bounds. She was a homebody at heart, preferring the closeness and comfort of family gatherings to any other pastime. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and the countless lives she enriched through her motherly grace and compassionate spirit.

In addition to her husband, John Walter Seay, she was predeceased by her parents, Richard Beason and Juanita Honeycutt.

She is survived by her son, Chad Seay (April); her granddaughter, Samantha Osborne (Cj); great-granddaughters, Annie, Willow, and Harper; brother, Joey Beason (Melinda); and her sisters, Sherri Thornton (Bobby), Pam Dill (Cleo), and Cindy Smith (Dan).

A graveside service will be held, Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, with Rev. Michael Coward officiating.
