Vicki Ann Lockaby

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Vicki Ann Campbell Lockaby, a devoted mother, cherished Gikki, and faithful friend, who left this world peacefully on August 30, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born on April 24, 1950, to the late Betty Lou Stallings Campbell and Calvin Manning Campbell, she lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and a heart that always reached out to others. She was the center of her family, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. Her children and grandchildren, who lovingly called her Gikki, were the joy of her life. She poured her heart into them, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and strength.

She is survived by her children Casi Lockaby Esqueda and her husband, George, and Kevin M. Lockaby and his wife, Hannah. Though not her child, she also lovingly embraced Matthew A. Bayliff and his wife, Megan as her own. She is also survived by sisters, Kathy Dacus and her husband, Prue and Donna Howell, and her husband, Michael.

The joy of her life was being a Gikki to Gray Campbell Lockaby, Crew Manning Lockaby, Navy Lo Lockaby, and Bear Esqueda. She was also a beloved Gikki to Mattie, Mollie, Monroe, and Merritt Bayliff.

Vicki loved spending time outdoors tending her garden, playing pickleball with her sweet friends, and cheering on her grandchildren in their sports. She had a gift for collecting and curating treasures for her interior design projects and enjoyed woodworking, dancing, and telling stories from years past. She also delighted in the simple joys of drinking a cold DDP and sampling the best sweets.

She was preceded in death by her sweet husband, Jerry A. Lockaby, who was the love of her life, along with two angel babies who are now with her in Heaven.

She was not only a nurturing mother and Gikki, but also a loyal friend who offered encouragement, wisdom, and laughter to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her unwavering love, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and cared for.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 5th, 2025, in the Boiling Springs First Baptist Church auditorium (see directions below). Family will receive guests starting at 11:00 am, with a service to follow at noon. If Vicki has touched your life in any way, you are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Though she is no longer with us, the love of Gikki will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
