Timothy James Chaffin

Timothy James Chaffin, 54, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born on January 4, 1972, in Spartanburg, where he spent much of his life and formed lasting friendships within the community.

Timothy was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Jackie Chaffin, whose love and guidance shaped him throughout his life. He is survived by his father, James Chaffin and Karen Stroble of Inman, South Carolina, with whom he shared a close bond.

He was a devoted father and proud grandfather. Timothy is survived by his daughters, Kalon West and her husband, Tommy West, of Lexington, South Carolina, and Skyler Chaffin of Bowling Green, Ohio. He treasured his grandchildren, Ashlyn Blackstone and Charity West, and also held a special place in his heart for his step-grandsons, Blake West and Colton West. His family brought him immense joy, and he took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.

Timothy is also survived by his sister, Kim McCoy, and her late husband, Chuck McCoy; his nephew, Marty McCoy, and his wife, Melissa McCoy, of Inman, South Carolina. In addition to his family, Timothy was deeply devoted to his three beloved dogs—Princess, Puppers, and Karma—who were constant companions and a source of comfort and happiness.

Known for his loyalty, kind heart, and love for those close to him, Timothy will be remembered as someone who valued family, friendship, and the simple moments in life. He leaves behind many close friends and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Boiling Springs, conducted by Rev. Dr. David Lancaster. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.

Pallbearers will be Marty McCoy, David Hembree, Jamie Hembree, John Millwood, Greg Cornett, Christopher Davidson, Tyler Bennett, and Donnie Suttles.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the services at the funeral home.

Timothy James Chaffin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers Timothy would like all proceeds to be donated to Animal Allies of Spartanburg.
