Thomas "Tom" F. Carpenter

Thomas F. Carpenter, 61, of Chesnee, SC passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025. Born August 23, 1963, in Pittsfield, MA. He was a 1981 graduate of Taconic High School. Tom was an Army Veteran and was very proud of his service.

At the time of his passing, he was employed with Grainger, a job he loved, and he thought of his coworkers as an extended family.

He was a self-taught woodworker, who took tremendous pride in his work.

Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pennie Andrews Carpenter; his son, Thomas L. Carpenter. In-laws Larry and Joyce Andrews, and best friend Mel Bond of Chesnee, SC.

Also, his mother, Barbara Duchesneau Gibeau. Two sisters Mickey Carpenter, Susie Carpenter, and one nephew all of Pittsfield, MA; and one sister, Ruth Coppola and two nieces of New Hampshire.

He was predeceased by his father, James Carpenter, and his daughter, Kendralee Carpenter.

Tom had a big personality and will be truly missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, starting at 3:00pm at 310 N. Carolina Avenue, Chesnee, SC.
