Thomas Michael Day

Thomas Michael Day, age 53, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026. He was born April 13, 1973, in Rutherford County, NC to the late Tommy Joe Day and the late Susan Connell Day. Thomas was a very talented brick mason and loved to go golfing and fishing. Thomas will be remembered as a loving fiancé, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Thomas is survived by his fiancé,Kathy Ashley; sister, Amie Terry; step children, Travis and Louise Shelton; three step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Day.

The family will conduct a memorial service on their own at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the memorial service.
