Thelma Mae Yarbrough

Mrs. Thelma Mae Yarbrough, age 81, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Mrs. Yarbrough was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on  September 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Louise Cartee Hammett and David Hammett, Sr. Thelma served as caregiver for the Spartanburg Children's Shelter. She was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church in Chesnee, South Carolina. Mrs. Yarbrough enjoyed traveling to the mountains and beach.

Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Wayne Yarbrough (Brooke), Scott Yarbrough (Cindy), and Joel Yarbrough (Ann); grandchildren, Christopher Yarbrough, Ciera Yarbrough, Jacey Yarbrough, and Michael Clementson; great grandchildren, Caylie Wright, Jackson Yarbrough, Edwin Wright, Harper Yarbrough, Alex Wright, Riley Byrd, and Lucas Byrd. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Yarbrough was predeceased by her husband, Wayne McCraw, granddaughter, Tabitha Wright, two sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Casey Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Lyda officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow at Casey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
