Thelma Almeta Lawter

Thelma Almeta Lawter, 91, of Inman, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. She was born on October 19, 1932 in York, South Carolina to the late Carl Green and Mary Moss Green.

Mrs. Lawter is survived by her son, Jerry Lawter; granddaughter, Regina Alexander; grandsons, Tommy Wayne Lawter and James David Lawter; four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Tommy Dean Lawter; sisters, Agnes Bledsoe, Julie Ramsey, and Annie Johnson; and brothers, Carl Green, Jr., Steve Green, and Sonny Lee Green.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Casey Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM prior to the service at the church. There will be a private burial at a later date.
