Terry Lee Bishop

Terry Lee Bishop, 63, of Mayo, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 1, 1960 to Wilford Bishop and the late Guynetta Wilson Bishop.

Mr. Bishop was a wonderful husband, Dad, and Papa. He was a huge lover of animals, and enjoyed gardening and farming. Terry was also an honorary lifetime member of Mayo Fire Department.

In addition to his wife of 26 years, Kelly Jones Bishop, he is survived by a daughter, Karla Porter (John Downey) of Mayo; grandson, Kyle Porter of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Danny Bishop (Tina) of Mayo.

He was predeceased by his mother, Guynetta Wilson Bishop.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee with Rev. Ty Childers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. Burial will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Honorary Escort by the Mayo Fire Department.

Members of Mayo and Hilltop Fire Departments will serve as pallbearers.

Family will be at the home of Wilford Bishop, and will receive friends and family on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM.
