Tanya Renae Allen

Tanya Renae Allen, 53, of Inman, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Born in Greer, South Carolina, on February 6, 1973, Tanya was the daughter of the late Charles Cooper Gwinn and Nellie Mae Moon Gwinn.

Tanya dedicated many years of her career to the textile industry, where she worked as a forklift driver and picker in shipping. She was a member of Springwell Church in Taylors, South Carolina.

Above all else, Tanya cherished her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and her son.  She enjoyed traveling and taking family vacations, especially to Viriginia Beach with her husband, Johnny.  She loved lighthouses, gathering around the table for family game nights, and spending time with her faithful companions, Abby and Maggie. She had a deep love for the Lord and looked forward to attending church, where she found encouragement, fellowship, and grew her faith.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Johnny Ray Allen; her son, Michael Gwinn, and wife, Audrey; stepsons, Johnny Allen, Jr. and Jordan Allen; brother, Timmy Gwinn, and wife, Sherry; and her cherished grandchildren, Elijah Gwinn and Alora Dobbins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service celebrating Tanya's life will be held at the family's home at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
