Stephen Richard Cooley

Stephen Richard Cooley, 75, of Mayo, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Mr. Cooley was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved spending time with his late wife and grandchildren, and enjoyed cooking, and working on electronics and computers. He also built houses and could do everything, right down to the wiring.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Connelly Cooley; stepdaughter, Rebecca D. Thrift; two granddaughters, Haley D. Thrift and Jodi M. Thrift; and their father, Joel S. Thrift, Jr.; nephews, Jake Cooley and Sam Cooley; and great-nephew, Dallas Cooley.

In addition to his mother, Jackie Gilbert, he was predeceased by his wife, Janis Chrisenberry Cooley.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee conducted by Rev. Larry Fleming.
