Sharon Lindsey

Phyllis Sharon Taylor Lindsey, 78, of Chesnee, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 8, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born on November 10, 1945, in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Lester Sim Taylor and Mae Ruth Cantrell Taylor. Mrs. Lindsey was the devoted wife of Rev. Bobby Lindsey and was a faithful helper to him as he served the Lord during his career as a pastor. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren, who will dearly  miss their "Grammy". Sharon was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Bill Howell Sunday School Class and the Joy Group. Mrs. Lindsey enjoyed reading, listening to music, and playing the piano.

Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her husband, are daughter, Linda L. Moore (Clark); son, Stan Lindsey (Gretchen); sisters, Janice Fleming and Pam Barnette (Johnny); brother, Jerry Taylor (Sue); grandchildren, Austin Lindsey (Makennah), Olivia Moore, Spencer Lindsey, Sarah Moore, and Elizabeth Moore. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lindsey was predeceased by sisters, Glenna Jones and Gwen Pace, and twin-brother, Phil Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Cox officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Austin Lindsey, Spencer Lindsey, Jonathan Barnette, Bob Zinser, Gary Wofford, and Steve Chapman. Members of the Bill Howell Sunday School Class are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers and sit together in a group.

The family will receive friends at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM prior to the funeral service.
