Sarah "Joan" Tolleson Mcabee

Sarah "Joan" Tolleson McAbee, 76, of Roebuck, SC passed away
Sunday, January 7, 2024. Joan was born May 4, 1947 in
Spartanburg, SC to the late James Jay "JJ" and Clara Evans Tolleson.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James "Jimmy"
McAbee; sons, Robbie McAbee (MaryAnn) of Roebuck, Brian McAbee
(Deedee) of Roebuck, and Jeffrey McAbee of Spartanburg; and one daughter,
Tonya Kelly (Kevin) of Moore. She was blessed with nine
grandchildren, Paul McAbee (Haylie), Allison Williams (Ryan), Mitchell
and Madison McAbee, Christopher Burnette (Jade), Tiffany Sudduth
(Robbie), Justin McAbee, and Hunter and Conner Kelly. She was also
truly blessed with nine great grandchildren, Anastasia McAbee, Jaicee
Williams, Naomi and Luke Burnette, Noah and Rayleigh McAbee,
Charleigh and Jessie Sudduth, and Edward McAbee. Also by
her last surviving sibling, a sister, Diana Gwinn, along with a number of
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by three brothers,
Eugene, Tillman, and Billy Tolleson; two sisters, Barbara "Tootsie" Petty and
Annette Sanders; and a daughter in law, Susan McAbee; as well as by her beloved dog Rose Bud McAbee.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Roebuck Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Receiving of friends will be held prior to the service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
