Sarah Ruth Fine

Sarah Ruth Hammett Fine, 85, of Inman went home to be with Jesus on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. Born on April 10, 1939, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Horace Hammett, and Margery O. Ramsey Hammett, and was the widow of Gerald Fine. She worked as a packer at Wise Foods for twenty-one years. She attended Tucapau Baptist Church where she was active in the Golden Circle Sunday School Class. Sarah loved spending time and traveling with her family. Sarah loved sports and was an Atlanta Braves Fan. She was a beautiful person and touched so many. She will be missed but will live forever in our hearts.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Denise Watts, and Page (Mark) Pettit; one son, Vince Fine, Kevin Sprouse, whom she loved like a son; six grandchildren, Garrett Watts, Jessica (Will) Huckaby, John-Mark Pettit, Caitlin (Clayton) Campbell, Alex (Jacob) Murphy, and Morgan Fine; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and late husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joann Ledford; and one brother, Laval "Red" Hammett.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2024, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Eggers Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Eubanks officiating. A burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Garrett Watts, John-Mark Pettit, Will Huckaby, Mark Pettit, Kevin Sprouse, Blake Douglas.
