Sandra Jean Howard

Sandra Jean Howard, 72, of Startex, SC, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 at her home.

Born in Cowpens, SC, she was a daughter of the late Noah Webster Helton and Blanche Inman Helton. Sandra was a member of Arcadia Baptist Church. She worked as a Trainer and Supervisor for 27 years at Startex Mills. Sandra served over 34 years at Arcadia Fire and Rescue and Una Fire Department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Junior Howard; and a sister, Sissy Hutchinson.

Sandra is survived by a son, Jeffrey T. Howard; three daughters, Susan Irene Bergman (Dana), Lori Ann Murphy (Michael), and Michelle McKelvey; three sisters; three brothers; seven grandchildren, Noah J. Howard, Joshua T. Howard, Jason L. Howard, Abigail Rose Herman, Michael Murphy, Hunter Murphy, and Joeseph Murphy; and one great grandchild, Zoey Howard.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

A graveside service to celebrate Sandra's life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Greer, SC.
