Samuel Noah Pruitt

Samuel "Sam" Noah Pruitt, 81, of Chesnee, SC, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at his home.

Born in Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son of the late Noah Pruitt and Alon Scruggs Pruitt. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Sam was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Pruitt; two sisters; three brothers; and two step-daughters.

Sam is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ophelia Pruitt; son, Chris Pruitt (Joie); three daughters, Anita Bryant (Roger), Kelly Fisher (Phil), and Tracey Howe (Tom); step-daughter, Teresa Jones (Steven); sister, Sharon Morris; two brothers, Oscar Pruitt, and Frank Pruitt; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel with the Rev. Randy Shields officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home.
