Samuel Ray Hammett

Samuel Ray Hammett, 79, passed away on January 11, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.

Born on August 13, 1945, in Inman, South Carolina to David Leroy Hammett and Louise Johnson Hammett.

Samuel lived a life marked by the love and respect of his family and community.

Samuel is survived by his sons, William, Tim, and Sam Hammett, Sr.; his sister, Thelma Yarborough; grandchildren, Paul, Jacob and Paula Crawley and great-granddaughter, Ava McKinney. His life was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Minnie Bailey.

Samuel's life will be celebrated and remembered for the love and dedication he showed to his family and all who knew him.
