Samuel Willis Green

Samuel Willis Green, age 70 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at his home. He was born May 30, 1954 in Cleveland County, NC to the late James Baxter Green and the late Hattie Sue Parker Green. Samuel was a rug maker and loved to work in the rug mill. His favorite meal was pintos and cornbread. Samuel was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who especially loved his grandchildren. His last days were spent relaxing on the screened in porch that he was finally able to have built on to his home. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Samuel is survived by his daughter Therese Emmons (Todd), grandson Sammy Emmons (girlfriend Gracie), sisters; Patricia Splawn (Donald), Linda Toney and Brenda Toney (Dale) and great granddaughter Emelia Emmons.

In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by his wife Ann Price Green and his brother David Green.

The family will receive friends form 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC. No other services are planned at this time. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
