Roy James Woody, 63, of Rutherford County, NC, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Atrium Pineville. He was born on January 28, 1962, in Polk County, NC, to the late Dovie Woody Dobbins.

Roy is survived by his only daughter, Brittany; former spouses Renee and Kathy; siblings Irene, Emmie, Kay, and Clifford; He was preceded in death by his siblings Mary and Bobby.

While disabled from the workforce, Roy never let his lifelong battle with polio define him. A self-proclaimed jack of all trades, Roy's resourcefulness and creativity meant there was little he couldn't figure out or fix. He was a craftsman and always innovative in the ways he approached life and work.

More than his talents, Roy will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and friend. He lived with quiet resilience, a sharp wit, and a knack for solving problems in the most unexpected ways.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home in Cliffside, NC.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
