Ronald Wayne Blackburn, Jr.

Mr. Ronald Wayne Blackburn, Jr., age 54, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Wayne was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on June 3, 1970, the son of the late Glenda Gail Hensley Blackburn and Ronald Wayne Blackburn, Sr. He was the adoption manager for the Spartanburg Humane Society and was devoted to finding loving homes for the animals.  He cared for all animals especially his dogs, Nikki and Khloe, who were faithful companions.  He loved his family and his niece; Reagan, of the home, held a special place in his heart.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Kim Blackburn; brother, Stephen Spencer; nieces, Hannah Blackburn, MaKayleigh Blackburn-McLeod, and Reagan Blackburn; nephew, Austin Blackburn; aunts, Sue Blackburn Trent, and Kaye McSwain (Tommy); and numerous cousins and one, Stacie Beaver, whom he shared a special bond.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
