Romeo Roscoe Mccraw

Romeo Roscoe McCraw, age 82 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 at his home. He was born December 26, 1942 in Rutherford County, NC to the late James McCraw and the late Mollie Padgett McCraw. Romeo was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He loved to fish and do anything outdoors. He loved to watch his western tv shows and movies. Romeo will be fondly remembered by his family as a loving husband, brother, uncle and "Poppy"

Romeo is survived by his wife Laura Smith McCraw of the home, sisters; June Stitzel, Audrey Self, Sandy Godfrey and Linda Silvers, his brother Donald McCraw, special nieces Mollie and Ellen McCraw and an extra special "grandson" Cameron Clark.

In addition to his parents, Romeo was preceded in death by two brothers; James and Robert McCraw.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC with Reverend Daryle Hawthorne officiating. Burial will follow the funeral in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Mooresboro, NC. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family
