Roderick Pierce Wood

Roderick Pierce Wood, 93, of Gaffney, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. He was born in Oswego, New York on June 8, 1930 to the late George Pierce Wood and Flossie Mae Pierce Wood.

Roderick was a funny man and enjoyed playing tricks on his family. He loved to draw, watch the news, and play his harmonica and guitar. He also loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ida Wood; daughters, Teresa Williams and Heather Sais; sons, Roderick Wood, Jr. and Michael J. Wood; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Central Baptist Church in Gaffney, South Carolina.
