Richard John Newell, Sr.

My favorite story our mother told was of the night our parents met.  Dad chased after her over the Verrazano bridge just to get her phone number. I like to think that is what he has done now. Our father Richard John Newell Sr has gone chasing after that green eyed beauty into the mystic.

Our father leaves behind three loving children Richard (Christina), Kathleen (Timothy), and James (Ariel); seven grandchildren that he adored Madelyn, Alice, Acona, Nelda, Jacklynn, Timothy, and Kieran; and sisters, Maureen Bolzano, and Barbara Musso. He is also survived by his faithful companion Bruiser. Our father loved the Yankees, cheering on the Gamecocks, and his family. So raise a glass, preferably a Heineken or Grey Goose to our father. He would like that almost as much as catching up with our mother. I'd imagine "Our Song" is playing and they are embracing surrounded by their dogs.
