Reuben Kenny Hayes

Mr. Reuben Kenny Hayes, 80, of Chesnee, SC passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. He was born in Spartanburg on October 22, 1942 to the late Chattie Gibbs Genoplus and Ira Oscar Hayes.

Mr. Hayes proudly served in the National Guard. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the Clemson Tigers, and enjoyed music and golfing.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn Bishop Hayes, he is survived by a daughter, Amy Hayes Rountree (Ralph); sons, Jay Hayes (Amy), Richard Owens (Tina), and Glen Owens; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a grandson.

A visitation will be held from 3:00PM until 5:00PM on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
