Rebecca Horton Marlowe

Rebecca Horton Marlowe, 92, of Boiling Springs, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Boyd Jonie Horton and Bertha Wall Horton. Mrs. Marlowe was a long-time member of Boiling Springs First Baptist where she taught Sunday School. She dearly loved the Word, and was a Bible teacher for over 60 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Marlowe; son, Scott Marlowe; three siblings, Juanita Stepp, James Horton and Brenda McDonald; and her step-father, Hollis Horton.

Mrs. Marlowe is survived by her daughter, Donna Leatherwood (Richard); son, Kent Marlowe (Carolyn); daughter-in-law, Cathy Marlowe; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Marlowe's life will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Hank Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
