Rebecca Gregory Horton

Mrs. Rebecca Gregory Horton, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Horton was born on October 26, 1936, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Geneva Smith Gregory and Ralph Andrew Gregory. She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church. She was a child of God, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with them and especially enjoyed their beach vacations. Mrs. Horton baked the best cakes and loved eating at Chick -Fil- A.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, William "Bill" C. Horton; daughter, Regina "Gina" H. Burress (Keith); son, Scott "Stubby" Horton; brother, Larry Gregory; grandchildren, Becca Burress Bridges (Daniel), Haley Horton, Maggie Burress Lancaster (Luke); great-grandson, Camden Keith Lancaster; and sisters-in-law, Ann Gregory and Carolyn Ballenger. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horton was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Foy; and two brothers, Donald Gregory and Jack Gregory.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Northbrook Baptist Church with Rev. Benny Green officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Lee Gregory, Luke Lancaster, Daniel Bridges, Craig Seay, Keith Burress, and Gary Gregory.

Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the "building fund" of Northbrook Baptist Church, 1881 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.

The family will be at the home.
