Rebecca Lewis Brown Jones

Rebecca Lewis Brown Jones, 82, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Born on October 28, 1943, in Laurens, South Carolina, Rebecca was a daughter of the late Robert Louis Brown and Mildred Jeanette Smith.

She was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church and a registered nurse, working for many years as a pharmaceutical sales representative with AstraZeneca.

Lovingly known as Becky, she had a childlike love of adventure and a curiosity about the world around her. She found joy in simple treasures and exploration, spending time metal detecting and gold panning, always eager for the next small discovery. Her culinary exploits were often an adventure resulting in unexpected outcomes. However, she was well-known for her delicious homemade Christmas fruit cake cookies. In all things, her sense of wonder remained with her throughout her life.

Becky fiercely loved her two sons, Buzz and Rob Jones, and was deeply devoted to her family. She was known for her warm, welcoming smile, but nothing brought her greater happiness than speaking of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When she talked about them, her face would light up with unmistakable joy and pride.

After moving to Wesley Court Assisted Living in 2023, Becky's family extended to include the many staff members and fellow residents who became dear to her heart.

She is survived by her beloved children: Clifton "Buzz" W. Jones IV, and wife, Lexa of Boiling Springs, SC, and Robert "Rob" Timothy Jones, and wife, Geri of Tyler, TX; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Brown Dunmoyer. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Davis Reed Jones, Rebecca Lanier Jones, David Robert Jones, Whitley Hannah Jones Elsner, and husband, Brian, and Abigail Taylor Jones; and great-granddaughters, Juniper and Wren Elsner.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Janice Annette Brown Weathers.

Becky will be remembered for her loving heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her presence, smile, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in The Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, officiated by Rev. Ronnie Cox.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service in the chapel.
