Peggy Turner Williams

Peggy T. Williams, 84, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025.

She was born in Polk County, North Carolina on December 9th, 1940, to the late Grayson and Minnie Turner. She was the eleventh of thirteen children: Albert, John, James, Juanita, Eunice, Margaret, Terrell, Ruth, Shirley, Clyde, Larry and Barbara. She was preceded in death by eleven of her twelve siblings and survived by sisters Ruth Greenway (Junior) and Barbara Davison (Maurice).

Peggy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bobby Williams. Peggy and Bobby married on March 14th, 1968. Peggy is survived by children: Douglas Shields and Roger Shields (Melissa); stepchildren, Ronald Williams (Julie) and Debra Williams. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Dylan Shields (Christine), Dalton Shields (Jennah), Dakota Shields and Megan Mallia (David) and great-grandchildren: Zared, Emmett, Maclan and Ryder as well as many other family and friends.

Peggy was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and entrepreneur. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always thinking of others first. 'To know her was to love her.' She loved to host, cook, bake, dance, read and travel. Above all else, Peggy was happiest spending time with her family whether it be a normal, unplanned afternoon or at Family Reunions throughout the year. She thoroughly enjoyed her 'Thursday Therapy,' playing cards with friends and family. She loved putting smiles on people's faces with her cooking, especially her blueberry pound cake. She was well known for her skill and dedication to the clogging community throughout most of her adulthood. In her later years, she became a member of the Red Hat Society and the Shepherd's Center.

Visitation will be held at Northbrook Baptist Church on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Benny Green. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.
