Peggy Turner Gilliland

Peggy Turner Gilliland, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Born in Cherokee Springs, SC, she was the daughter of Paul Tommy Turner and Betty Lou McAbee Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Gilliland, Jr,; a sister, Judy Turner Coggins; and a great grandchild, affectionately known as Baby Brown.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Brown; a son, Keith Gilliland (Tricia); a granddaughter, Kelli Brown; a grandson, Thomas Brown; two great grandsons, Daniel Brown and Jackson Brown; a brother-in-law, Jim Gilliland (Jo); and sister-in-law, JoAnn Comer (Ralph).

Peggy was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park, Fountain Inn, SC, conducted by Rev. Belton Drake.
