Paul Joseph Longenberger

Mr. Paul Joseph Longenberger, 54, loving husband of Sherry Jo Longenberger, of Spartanburg, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Paul was born on September 1, 1972, in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania to Kathy Harrox and the late Paul Allen Longenberger. He was an avid golfer and was very generous to anyone who needed anything from him. Paul adored his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and nephews. Sports were important to Paul, and you could always find him fussing at the TV, especially if a Pittsburgh Steelers or Pittsburgh Penguins game was on.

In addition to his loving wife Sherry, Paul is survived by his children, Tamara Eve Longenberger of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, Christopher Allen Longenberger of Shenandoah City, Pennsylvania, Sara Ashton Nicole Crim of Bridgeport, West Virginia, and Franklin Ross Crim and his wife, Emily Mae of Bridgeport, West Virginia; his grandchildren, Ellizibeth Eve Longenberger of Spartanburg, Lilly Marie Salvadore of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, Emberlyn Mae Salvadore of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, Castro Longenberger of Shenandoah City, Pennsylvania, Eleanora Jo Flint of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Peyton Louise Phares of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Jameson Ray Crim of Bridgeport, West Virginia, and Maverick Ross Crim of Bridgeport, West Virginia. 

Paul is also survived by his sisters and nephews, Amy Houser and her husband Josh, sons Tayvian Longenberger, Kyson Houser, Lynn Longenberger, son Aiden Longenberger, and Lori Tragus of Mahanoy City; his sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, and nieces, John Brown and his wife Daniella, daughter Natella Scott, Richmond, OH, Cindy Coonrad and her husband Steve, daughters, Jenna Rose, and Brookelynn Coonrad, Shanna Coonrad of Anchorage AK and his mother-in-law, Sharon Childers of Bridgeport, West Virginia.

Paul was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Chris Tragus.

In accordance with Paul’s wishes, no formal services are planned at this time. His family members will be remembering Paul at their respective homes.

Flowers will be accepted at the home.
