Patsy Smith Blanton

Patsy Blanton, age 86 of Ellenboro, NC, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. Born on March 30, 1938, Patsy was known for her boundless compassion and unwavering kindness.

She is survived by her children, Gene Blanton, Charlie Blanton, Donna Gault and her husband Jerry, and Becky Blanton and her spouse Scott Bryant. Patsy was a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren: Jennifer Sinclair, David Guffey, Nathan Guffey, Charlie Blanton, and Cheyenne Blanton. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Patsy is also survived by her sister, Brenda Goble. She was predeceased by her parents, Floyd McCalister Smith and Mary Atta Beam Smith; her sister, Linda Smith; and her son, Walter Ray Blanton. Despite these profound losses, she remained a beacon of strength and love for her family.

Known for her incredible generosity, Patsy believed in helping others, often giving even when she had little herself. Her compassionate spirit touched the lives of many, and she was beloved by all who knew her. Patsy's faith in Jesus Christ was a cornerstone of her life, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the glory of heaven.

Patsy's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was the kindest soul, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Thursday August 1, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC. The memorial service will follow at 2:00pm in the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC. with Reverend Chad Roach officiating. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
