Pamela Jan Mitchem "Pam" Hicks

Mrs. Pamela Jan Mitchem “Pam” Hicks, 68, loving wife of Gerald Dean Hicks, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Pam was born on November 11, 1957, in Spartanburg County, SC, a daughter of the late Robert and Imogene Cantrell Mitchem. She spent her working career as a school bus driver with the Spartanburg County District 2 School System. In her free time, Pam loved to go shopping, especially yard-selling, and she cherished her canine companions. Most important to Pam was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.

In addition to her loving husband, Gerald, Pam is survived by her daughters, Crissy Bradshaw and husband, Daniel, of Spartanburg; Jamie Fletcher and husband, Scott, of Enoree; and Jennifer Johnson of Spartanburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily, Brandon, Lexie, and Donnie; her great-grandchildren, Tate, Ansley, J.J., and Alicia; and a sister, Angie Henderson of Spartanburg.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her siblings, Ricky Mitchem, Kim Poole, Myra Mitchem, and Tony Mitchem.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
