Rev. Ollie Franklin Myers

Rev. Ollie Franklin Myers, age 81, of Boiling Springs, SC passed away Friday, December 23, 2022.

Born in Jasper, Alabama, he was the son of the late Buck and Myrtle Cobb Myers. He was the Executive Director and Founder of Branches of the Vine since it began in 1997. Branches of the Vine is a nonprofit that partners with the Anglican Diocese of Accra to build schools, water wells in villages, and provide medical clinics. Since its beginning, Branches of the Vine has built 9 schools, and served hundreds through medical missions. Rev. Myers was also the Trustee of the Anglican Relief and Development Fund from 2012 to 2022, and Vice President of Sales for Taylor Publishing and Delmar Publishing from 1974 to 2009. He also served as a prison and city jail chaplain for over a decade. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Left to cherished his memory is his wife, Eugenia Myers; daughter, Andrea Ledford (Mike); a son, Patrick Myers (Renae); and three granddaughters, Alex and Megan Ledford and Amanda Atchley (Kris). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Myers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at All Saints Anglican Church, Weddington, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by Branches of the Vine and will be split between building a school in Rev. Frank Myers' honor and supporting missionaries who were influenced by Frank Myers' example.
