Norma Priscilla Ward

Mrs. Norma Priscilla "Pris" Ward, age 83, of Boiling Springs, SC went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 25, 2024, after a short illness.

Mrs. Ward was born August 29, 1941, in Chester, SC a daughter of the late Boyd and Annie Smith Vinson. Mrs. Ward enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart and loved spending time with her cats, Theo and Leo. She loved her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Ward also loved her Bible.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her children, Deborah Ward Tapia (Salvador) and Karen Ward (Rick Wooten); sister, Lena Mae Hyatt; grandchildren, Jessica Tapia, Melinda Tapia, Kristen Hames, Chris Hames, and Erin Ward; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Freeland Levone Ward, Sr., she was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Denise Ward; son, Freeland Levone Ward, Jr.; grandson, Steven Blankenship; sisters, Louise Morris, Catherine Sellars, and Tina Stanley; and a brother, Hayes Vinson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 12:30pm, prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Salvador Tapia, Rick Wooten, Chris Hames, Cody Vaughn, and Mat Lewis.
