Nora Faye Whiteside, 69, went to be home with the Lord while surrounded by loved ones at her home.

She was a beautiful Christian who took every opportunity to say that "God is good" and "I am blessed". She attended Central Baptist Church in Cowpens where she was an encouragement and inspiration to all.

She was born in Nora, VA to Emmett McCoy and Elizabeth Willoughby and moved to Spartanburg, SC when she was five. Faye was a graduate of Dorman High School. She spent many years as a cake decorator at Ingles. In her later years, she was a caretaker for her sisters. She was also a wonderful nana to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel; two daughters, Dodie Metcalf (Justin), and Kasie Tipton (Tyler); brother, Kenneth McCoy (Donna); cousin, Yvonne Brumbalow; three grandchildren, Caleb Metcalf, Jase Metcalf, and Daisy Metcalf; and great-nephews and great-nieces Drake Whiteside, Mia Whiteside, Graylee Whitesides, Kinley Whitesides, and Colton Whitesides; and many other nieces, nephews, and loved ones. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters June Hayes, Dale Whitesides, and Libby Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Central Baptist Church in Cowpens. The family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service, from 2:00PM until 3:00PM.
