Nancy Jane Moody

Moody, Nancy Jane (née Regester), age 82, formerly of Youngstown, New York.  Passed away at home after a brief illness on April 5, 2023.  Nancy graduated from Wilson High School, Class of '58.  She married her high school sweetheart, Robert, and celebrated 64 beautiful years of marriage last September.  Nancy was an active member of Pekin United Methodist Church, where she loved teaching Sunday school to the little ones.  She also spent several years volunteering at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Nancy worked for Ohmtek, Inc. for over 20 years, eventually becoming Human Resources Manager.  After leaving Ohmtek in 1998, Nancy and Bob had a long and happy retirement.  They wintered in Mulberry, Florida, where Nancy was active in her senior community, Anglers' Green.  Nancy was always organizing various events and activities.  She loved to golf and country line dance, and she never turned down a game of cards.

After moving to Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Nancy joined Northbrook Baptist Church, where she has been blessed with a loving and supportive church family.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Horace Regester, and brothers Ernest, Kenneth, Ronald, and Jerry Regester.  She is survived by two siblings, Lois Fose of Cape Coral, Florida and Jack Regester of Nicholasville, Kentucky. She will be sadly and deeply missed by her husband, Robert W. Moody, Sr.   She is the beloved mother of Robert W. Moody Jr. (Teri), Thomas W. Moody (Denise), Susan M. Robinson (Richard), and Lisa A. Gurney (Ric).  She is grandmother to Kristen Halford, Nicole Knodel, Matthew Halford (Ioana), Jacob Gurney, Austin Moody, and Jessica Gurney; and great-grandmother to Sydney and Dominick Knodel, and Evelyn Halford.

A memorial service will be held at Northbrook Baptist Church,1881 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm prior to the service.
