Nancy Mills Harrison

Nancy Carol Mills Harrison, 96, of Spartanburg, South Carolin, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Born in Apex, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Ollie Theodore Mills and Lettie L. Dean Mills and the widow of Billy Harold Harrison, Sr., the love of her life, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.

Mrs. Harrison was a lifetime homemaker. She retired from JCPenney, where she worked as a supervisor for 25 years. She was a longtime member of Beaumont Baptist Church.

Mrs. Harrison will be remembered for her kindness, sweet smile, and sunny disposition. She was always dressed to the nines. When her health allowed, she loved spending time outdoors working in her yard. Her greatest joy was her family. She especially loved being Nanny Nancy to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much happiness.

Surviving are a daughter, Tina H. Hollifield and her husband, Tony; a son, Hal Harrison and his wife, Lisa; two grandchildren, Ashley H. Rush and her husband, Michael, and Taylor Hollifield and his wife, Samantha; and three great-grandchildren, Harper Rush, Riggins Hollifield, and Reese Hollifield.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one sister and five brothers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by the Rev. John Lee and the Rev. John Cox.

Pallbearers will be Michael Rush, Taylor Hollifield, Tony Hollifield, Harper Rush, and Eric Swafford.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
