Miriam Fowler Smith

Miriam Fowler Smith, age 79, of 410 Walker Street, Pacolet Mills, SC, a very devout
Christian woman, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the
Reid House in Wellford, SC after a brief illness.

Mrs. Smith was born in Pacolet, SC on June 8, 1945, to the late Earl Tillman and
Margaret Pace Fowler. She was a member of Startex Church of God and a previous
member of Pacolet Mills Church of God.

Surviving are two sons, Calvin J. Smith (Susan) of Union and Joel Smith of Prosperity and a
granddaughter, Cathryn Smith of Union as well as a number of nieces and nephews
whom she helped raise. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death
by two brothers, Ronnie Fowler and Bobby Fowler and a loving grandmother, Evelyn
Pace Brown, who helped raise her. She was the last surviving member of her
immediate family.

Graveside services will be held at White Rose Cemetery in Pacolet Mills on Thursday,
October 17, 2024, at 4:00 PM conducted by Reverend Tim Haulbrook.
