Mildred Pruitt Keys

Mildred Pruitt Keys, 98, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Union County on August 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Lawson Garner and Ernest W. Garner.

Mildred worked as a realtor for many years.  She was an excellent cook, had a wonderful eye for decorating, enjoyed sewing, and at one time had her own cloth shop.  She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Paulette Malpass Cathcart; grandson, Thomas Cathcart (Kimberly); great-grandchildren, Triston Wrenn, Paul Wrenn, Lindsey Cash (Jonathon), Brittney Cathcart (Chris Cantrell); great-great-grandchildren, Elijah Cash, and Loretta Cantrell; and stepchildren Robert Keys (Holly) and Cindy Rainey (Perry); step grandchildren, Amanda Thompson (Gabe), David Keys (Alli), Cameron Rainey (Jessica) and Trip Rainey and Jeffrey Keys; step great-grandchildren, Emily and James Thompson, Lilly Keys and Ellis Rainey.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Keys, Jr., granddaughter, Kitiz Cathcart and sister, Marilyn Farah.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in The Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, conducted by Rev. Tim Worthy.

Interment will follow at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday, from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM.
