Michael James Welsh

Michael J. Welsh, of South Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026.

Born in Morristown, New Jersey, Michael was the beloved husband of Mary Welsh (Coppola). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy; his parents, Margaret and Stuart; and his sister, Kathy, and her husband, Ed.

A retired butcher, Michael enjoyed riding his Harley, attending races, caring for animals, and spending time with his neighbors and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; brothers, Steve (Claudia) and Kevin (Kathy); sisters, Maureen and Doreen (Dan); daughter-in-law, Dawn (Rick); grandchildren, Skyler, Sienna, and Selene; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
