Mary Willie Jolley

Mary Willie Spake Jolley, 95, of Chesnee, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2026.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Jolley; parents, Joe and Mary Sue Spake; sisters, Janie Ruth Spake and Lucille Spake Bridges (JL); and brother, Joe Hubert Spake.

She is survived by her brother, John W. Spake; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Spake and Nancy Jolley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church in Chesnee.

Mary graduated from Chesnee High School and worked at Kress Department Store in downtown Spartanburg after finishing high school. She sold many bags of candy during the time she was there and was a very popular person with the little ones shopping with their parents. She was later employed by Arrow Automotive for 30 years, until her retirement.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Springhill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to White Oak Manor Nursing Home, 295 E. Pearl St., Spartanburg, South Carolina, 29303.

The family would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for the excellent care and compassion given to Mary during this time by Mary Black Hospital, White Oak Manor Nursing Home, and Beni Bost, who was a very special friend and caregiver.
