Mary Katherine Sprenger

Mary Katherine Sprenger, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Spartanburg, SC. Born on July 14, 1950, in Gross Pointe, MI, she was the daughter of the late Ralph John Sprenger and Elizabeth Lankshear Sprenger.

Mary was known for being a homebody, where she found joy in gardening flowers and cooking. Her nurturing spirit shone brightly as a devoted mother, grandmother, and a friend who always extended her help to others.

She leaves behind her son, William Blackwell, Jr. (Rachel), grandson, Dayton Blackwell, sisters-in-law, Vicki Blackwell and Karen Potter, and a special friend, Pam Morris, who all held a significant place in her life.

Mary was predeceased by her parents.

Mary's love and care for her family, friends and others will continue to inspire those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
