Mary Ellen Kimbrell

Mary Ellen Kimbrell, 55, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, after a brief illness. Mary was born on May 21, 1967 in Warner Robins, GA to Robert Norman and Peggy Coffey Philbeck.

Mrs. Kimbrell is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 37 years, Franklin "Frankie" Kimbrell; daughter, Amanda Mathis (Gary), of Chesnee; son, Brandon Kimbrell (Adri), of Chesnee; sisters, Rita Philbeck and Nita Knight, both of Inman; brother, Bill Philbeck (Glenda), of Prosperity, SC; grandchildren, Kaydence, Kannon, Kennadi, Kelbyn, and Taelyn; and a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her heartbroken furbabies, Toby, Zoe and Ocean. She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and a resident of Boiling Springs, SC for over 45 years.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother spending quality loving time with her family every day of their lives. Mary has been a devoted friend to everyone that had the good fortune to know and love her throughout her life. She was a second mom, mentor, and advisor to many.

Mary loved the beach, flowers, and riding on the back of their Harley with the wind in her hair and her arms around her first and only true love.

In addition to her parents, Peggy and Robert, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert (Bobby) Philbeck, Jr.; grandparents, Grace and Raymond Coffey, formerly of Forest City, NC, and Geneva P. Melton formerly of Shelby, NC.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Eden Wesleyan Church, 3271 Peachtree Road in Chesnee SC 29323, with the Rev. Richard Hall officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested tobe made to the church in Mary's name.
