Mary Ann Hyams Wilkerson

Mary Ann Hyams Wilkerson, 80, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 6, 1944, in Asheville, North Carolina, to the late Thomas Rollins Hyams and Dorothy Gallian Hyams. She was married to the love of her life, Donald Ray Wilkerson for 43 years before his passing. She was also predeceased by sister, Jo Larsen; brother-in-law, Ken Larsen; sister-in-law, Dorcas Poteat; mother-in-law, Blanche Frady Wilkerson; father-in-law, Marion Wilkerson; nephew, Scott Larsen; and step-son, Roger Wilkerson.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Donna Gabriel;   granddaughter, Reese Gabriel; grandson, Michael Gabriel (Shauna); great grandson, Laken Gabriel;  brother-in-law, Paul Poteat; nieces, Beth Larsen-King (Scott) and Sandy Carswell (David); nephew, Darryl Poteat; great nephews, Kagen King and Aaron Carswell (Ashley and Maverick); as well as Roger's family, Sue, Adam, Marika, Heather, Christopher, Miles, and Savannah Wilkerson.
Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ for many years. She loved camping in the mountains of NC.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with the Rev. Benny Green officiating.
