Mary Frances Hord

Mary Frances Padgett Hord, 96, of Chesnee, SC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Mrs. Hord was born on January 18, 1927 in Rutherfordton, NC to the late Avery L. Padgett and Selma Lovelace Padgett.

Mary was a member of Arrowwood Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her church. She was a wonderful mother and Mimi who loved being with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 74 years, John Lee Hord; daughter, Renee Hord Heffner (Jimmy); son, Johny K. Hord (Kathleen); sister, Peggy Ann Padgett Greene; four grandchildren, Lauren Hord (Zach), Matt Hord (Lacy), Ashley Cox (Michael), and Jenna Harris; and five great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 10:30am at Springhill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Larry Fleming officiating.
